In October, Sony unveiled the PlayStation 5 Slim, which is thinner and more powerful than the standard model. According to recent reports, the company is now working on another model: the PlayStation 5 Pro. The console’s key features and launch date have surfaced, especially following the announcement of GTA 6.

According to a report shared on the ResetEra forum, the PlayStation 5 Pro is set to be released in September 2024. Considering that GTA 6 is expected to be released in 2025, there is a high likelihood of accuracy in this leak.
The new console will utilize the TSMC N4P fabrication process. Furthermore, it will retain the Zen2 architecture from the standard model but with higher clock speeds, reaching a maximum of 4.4 GHz. Additionally, it will feature a GPU with a Radeon custom RDNA3 architecture, targeting a frequency of 2 GHz and delivering a power of 14-29 TFlops.
